Initial Consultation
Typically held at the Kitchens by Request showroom, prospective clients meet with owner Blue Arnold to discuss:
- High-level overview of homeowner's vision for the space
- Review of homeowner-provided information (drawings, photos, etc.)
- Homeowner's goals
- Budget
- Typical timeline
- Accommodations to consider
- Contract review; deposit placed to initiate work
Creating Your Plan
A meeting at the client's home is scheduled to begin creating a detailed plan. This meeting may also include other professionals that the homeowner is working with, such as an architect or interior designer. Some of the key things that occur during this phase are:
- Creating a plan using sophisticated AutoCAD technology
- Reviewing plan with client and modifying as required
- Obtaining required permits
- Selecting fixtures, appliances, cabinetry, flooring, countertops, furniture and other elements
- Discussing timeline and any needed accommodations/access from client
- Finalizing and approving budget
- Introducing project manager to homeowner
Transformation
Under the direction of the project manager, the work to transform the space takes place. At every step, we work with our clients to minimize disruption and maximize their satisfaction. Highlights of this phase include:
- Work performed by master craftsmen who are our employees, not subcontractors, who are properly licensed in their trades
- An assigned project manager oversees all aspects of the work in progress
- The project's progress is discussed at weekly company meetings with all staff involved in its execution
- Any unforeseen issues are immediately brought to the attention of the client
- Adjustments desired by client are carefully evaluated and accommodated
- Obtain final sign-off from county building inspectors as needed
- Owner Blue Arnold conducts walk-through of completed project with client to ensure quality execution
- All work performed by Kitchens by Design craftsmen is guaranteed for one year
